Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who reads zestyprobe.com. Using the site means accepting them. They are written plainly on purpose: there is very little to agree to, because there is very little to buy.

What this site is

ZestyProbe is an editorial publication. Every entry in the catalogue is the opinion of the editors after playing the game, and an opinion is exactly what it remains. Nothing here is professional advice, and a written note is not a promise about how a game will behave on your handset or in a future update.

Advertising and commercial disclosure

• The site displays no advertising banners and sells no placements. There is nothing a studio can buy: not a position in the catalogue, not a rewritten entry, not a link.
• The links to Google Play are ordinary links to public store pages. They are not affiliate links and no commission reaches the desk when you use one.
• The Plus membership described on the home page is the only planned means of support. It is in the activation stage and cannot be paid for today; no card details are collected anywhere on this site and no amount will be taken from anyone before the subscription is live and separately agreed.
• If the desk ever accepts a commercial arrangement, it will be labelled inside the entry it touches and described in this section before it begins.

Membership terms, once Plus is active

Plus will be offered at A$4.90 per month, charged through a payment provider named on the page at that time, and it will be possible to cancel at any point with effect from the end of the paid month. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer guarantees given to you by the Australian Consumer Law in Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth); those guarantees apply whatever this page says.

No affiliation

ZestyProbe is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC, Google Play, or any of the studios whose games appear in the catalogue. Product names, game titles, icons and screenshots belong to their respective rights holders and appear here for the purpose of editorial review and identification.

Our own material

The written entries, the arrangement of the catalogue, the wordmark and the design of these pages belong to ZestyProbe. You are welcome to quote a passage with a link back to the page it came from; republishing an entry in full, or reproducing the design, needs our written permission.

Accuracy and availability

Ratings and rating counts are transcribed from the Australian Google Play listing on the date printed in the catalogue. Store figures move, games are updated, and studios sometimes remove a title altogether, so a figure here is accurate as of that date and no later. We correct mistakes as soon as they are pointed out. The site is offered as it stands and we do not promise uninterrupted availability; downloading and playing any third-party game is a decision you make at your own discretion, under that studio’s own terms.

Age

The site is intended for readers aged fifteen and over. Younger readers should ask a parent or guardian before sending an address through the form.

Links to other sites

Where a link leaves zestyprobe.com — to Google Play, or to a regulator — the page at the other end is outside our control and is governed by its own terms and privacy notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the laws of Australia that apply there, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction. Consumer protection questions may also be raised with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at accc.gov.au.
